ChattySpace Overview
Founded in 2023, ChattySpace is the newest addition to TheLuckyDate family of dating services. As a result, its dating pool isn’t as impressive, with only 20K+ monthly visits. Still, the online dating service is slowly getting traction in the US, the UK, Canada, and the EU. It’s designed to connect Western men with single ladies from Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Asia. Most members are looking for new friends, romantic connections, and mature, long-term relationships.
Here’s a quick overview of my ChattySpace rankings:
Profiles
After spending hours exploring the girls’ profiles on ChattySpace, here are my takeaways:
- Profile header lists basic personal info: name, age, location, education, job, height, weight, smoking and drinking habits, etc.
- Short bios are typically one sentence to a passage long, depending on English skills and personality.
- Most profiles include 10+ public photos, some offer public video clips, and over 50% include private photos, videos, or both.
- There’s no formal verification process, but photos and videos reduce the risk of running into fake profiles.
Personally, I’d have preferred to have more information about ladies before contacting them, but in most cases, photos were enough to make a decision and find a good opening line. I recommend you make the most of the favorites list and star the profiles you really like as you explore, or you may end up losing sight of them.
Features
Even if ChattySpace is not a free dating site, it has a rich toolset available to all members, while an upgrade unlocks even more unique communication features. I had the pleasure of testing them first-hand, and I have a few favorites to share.
As a new ChattySpace member, I got instant access to the free toolset, which includes:
- Search — You can only specify the desired age range and destination country, while ChattySpace will take care of the rest. Note that once the dating app runs out of relevant profiles, it will automatically switch to ladies from other countries. For now, that happens a lot, considering the limited size of the dating pool.
- Profile access — Free members can access all profile information, including public photos and videos. But you’ll need to start chatting with a lady and receive her response before you can browse her private pictures.
- Like and favorites — Likes signify your interest and can draw extra attention to your profile, while starred profiles are automatically added to your list of favorites, helping keep track of the women’s profiles you like best.
- Customer support — You can contact the support team via [email protected], but it may take them up to 24 hours to respond.
Although I agree with many ChattySpace reviews claiming the free functionality is somewhat lacking, I consider free reign over dating profiles the biggest asset. As most daters share at least a dozen photos (and one or two video clips), I could spend hours going through the dating pool enjoying the eye candy.
Of course, my ChattySpace review would be incomplete without a detailed analysis of the premium toolset. So once I purchased credits, I went on to test the following:
- Live chat — 200 credits/minute + 500 to 2,000 credits/sticker. Live chat is the most convenient option for daily interactions, but stickers aren’t really worth the expense, considering you can still use emojis for free.
- Letters — 3,000 credits/letter (1,000 credits for the first one). You can attach photos for free, making emails a useful tool for introducing yourself and learning more about the women you like quickly and without spending too many credits.
- Profile videos — 2,500 credits/video. They cannot replace video chat but are a passable substitute. Just be careful when exploring profiles, as the dating site will automatically charge your balance, even if you click on the thumbnail by mistake.
- Photo messages — 1,000 credits/photo. Although most profiles have enough photos to satisfy your curiosity, exchanging extra pictures is always welcome, even if it’s pretty costly.
- Disappearing photos — 1,200 credits/photo. They are a great way to get ladies extra interested, as they’ll only have access to your private photos for a limited time.
- Disappearing videos — 2,500 credits/photo. Like disappearing photos, videos can add a lot to your live chat experience, but you should pace yourself to avoid unnecessary spending.
- Virtual gifts — 4,900 to 109,900 credits. Considering their rates, you shouldn’t feel obliged to send out virtual gifts, but they can be a nice token of appreciation for ladies you really like.
After a couple of weeks of testing, live chat remained my go-to for daily interactions with a few ladies I fancied, but I also enjoyed watching profile videos and swapping photos with the girls. Virtual gifts and disappearing videos were too expensive for my taste, but letters were pretty useful in my early days on ChattySpace.
Price
Of course, the premium feature rates won’t tell you much without a clear understanding of the ChattySpace cost. The platform offers four credit package options:
The most cost-effective package would buy you 400 minutes (nearly 7 hours) of live chat, let you watch 32 private video clips, or send out 80 introductory letters. As far as I can tell, these rates put ChattySpace on par with most international dating sites I’ve tested, letting you enjoy daily flirting for under $200/month.
Ease of use
Chatty Space may be a new website, but it has all the benefits of TheLuckyDate, with its instant registration, clean layout, and intuitive navigation. It’s a great option for online dating rookies, considering how straightforward and to the point most features are.
I am especially fond of the convenient layout that let me keep track of my favorites and recent activity on the left and browse profile details on the right while chatting with ladies in the center panel. Besides, ChattySpace made switching between live chat, letters, media messages, and virtual gifts very handy.
Unlike most dating sites I’ve tested, the ChattySpace interface is comfortable enough on my phone and tablet, though I still wish for a dedicated app that would make this platform a 10 out of 10 in terms of usability.
